Resumen

La hipertensión (HTA), una crisis sanitaria mundial, está profundamente influenciada por determinantes sociales de la salud (DSS). Este artículo investiga la compleja relación entre los DSS y la HTA, analizando los factores clave que contribuyen a su prevalencia. Se identificaron los estudios más relevantes sobre esta la asociación. Los hallazgos subrayan la importancia de abordar los DSS para gestionarla eficazmente. Las intervenciones dirigidas a la educación, la desigualdad de ingresos y el acceso a la atención médica son esenciales para reducir su carga. Las investigaciones futuras deberán centrarse en desarrollar y evaluar intervenciones integrales que aborden múltiples DSS simultáneamente.
